
Granny’s classic meatloaf is the ultimate home food if you ask me. Perhaps there are some bad meatloaf recipes out there, but with the classic meatloaf recipe, you are always right on course. The roast is prepared quickly and does not need many ingredients. You can cook your favorite vegetables with it – and you’re already the hero at lunch!
Ingredients
- 1 kg of beef meat
- Milk as required (warm)
- 1 onion
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons parsley (freshly chopped)
- salt
- Caraway (ground)
- Coriander (ground)
- Pepper from the mill
- Breadcrumbs (as required)
- Vegetable oil (for brushing)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C lower and upper heat. Soak the bread roll in warm milk. Peel the onion and chop finely. Put the minced meat in a bowl and knead well with the onions, squeezed out roll, eggs, parsley, salt, cumin, coriander, and pepper. If necessary, add the crumbs and form into an oblong roast.
- Put on an oiled baking pan and brush with oil. Bake in the oven for 50-60 minutes until golden brown. You can serve it with onion sauce and vegetables or with salad.
